Basketball Recruiting Blog: Braydon Langston continuing to turn heads on the Summer Circuit

Braydon Langston has continued to see his stock rise as more colleges are recruiting the star from East Hall. Per Trent Markwith of Relentless Hoop, Langston has heard from Cincinnati, Georgia, Providence, and Florida State. Cincinnati extended an offer on May 16th for the two-way star.

According to On3, he is rated as a three-star prospect, the No.8  player in Georgia, the No. 30 SF, and the No. 94 player nationally. On3 is the only recruiting platform that has Langston ranked, and I think you will see more services come to the party late.

With his 6’6 and 180-pound frame, Langston is long and athletic. On the defensive side of the ball, he is one of the best wing defenders you will see and uses his athletic frame to send shots to the rafters. Langston is also an excellent on-ball defender. Offensively, he can penetrate the defense, getting to the rim with ease and will throw it down on you. When you try and take away his driving ability, he will make you pay with his silky smooth jumper. He made a highlight reel dunk on the Pro16/NextPro League earlier this summer. It illustrates his potential and the player he can become.

Langston has been running with several teams during the spring and the summer. He ran with the Athletics early in April and gave notable AAU in-state program Atlanta Celtics work. In the win, Langston finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks. He showcased he’s not just an offensive player but also a defensive star.

On the hardwood in the fall, he led East Hall to a 23-6 record. For his elite performance this past season, he was named Georgia Athletic Coaches Association all-state. He was also named a Region 8-3A all-region selection.

There is a big weekend on the horizon for high school basketball players as Live Period (a period where college coaches can go scout and talk to recruits) is set to commence at Lakepoint Complex in Cartersville. This weekend is strictly for Georgia players, but June 27th-29th will be for the Southeast region. With so many college coaches set to be in attendance, it will be another stage where Langston can showcase his talent and pick up even more offers from college programs.
