Colquitt County RB Jae Lamar commits to Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to dominate with recruiting in the Class of 2026 as they land Jae Lamar, a running back from Colquitt County. Lamar is the 21st commit in the 2026 class for Georgia and chose the Bulldogs over Miami, Clemson, Florida State, and Auburn.

Lamar took an official visit to Athens on May 30th which was the same day he visited Clemson, and despite having a positive official visit with Florida State on June 6th and Miami on June 13th, he likes what head coach Kirby Smart has going on at UGA.

He brings a lot of speed to the Packers running game and when he catches passes on a screen play he shows elusiveness as he spins away from multiple tackles while running near the sidelines. When Lamar gets into the secondary he is long gone as he turns on the jets and makes his way into the end zone.

Last season saw him rush for 885 yards on 112 carries as he scored 11 touchdowns. Lamar and Day’shawn Brown were a dynamic duo last season on the run game as they combined for 27 rushing touchdowns and over 2,000 rushing yards.

He heads into his senior year with Colquitt County as the Packers look to improve on last season’s performance of a 8-4 overall record and a 28-14 second-round playoff loss to Collins Hill.
