Pre-Playoff Girls Lacrosse Rankings

In Division 1, No. 1 Cambridge defeated Hillgrove 16-5 and Johns Creek 12-9 this past week. Cambridge will be the heavy favorites during this playoff run. No. 2 Blessed Trinity receives its highest ranking of the season after finishing its regular season on a four-game winning streak. No. 3 Fellowship Christian finished its season 10-3 and will face Allatoona in the first round of the postseason. No. 4 Wesleyan won three of its final four games to end the regular season. No. 5 Mount Paran slid three spots after finishing its regular season on a two-game losing streak. Allatoona, St. Pius X, Starr’s Mill, Lovett, and Greater Atlanta Christian round out the poll.

In Division 2, No. 1 Milton defeated Walton 15-5 and Sequoyah 19-1 this past week. The Lady Eagles finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak. No. 2 Lassiter finished its regular season with a 19-5 victory over North Paulding. No. 3 Johns Creek gave Cambridge all it could handle in the regular season finale, falling by only three goals. The Lady Gladiators will face Northgate in the first round. No. 4 Chattahoochee defeated Decatur 14-9 this past week. No. 5 Pope rebounded from a three-game losing streak to defeat Pace Academy 18-7 to close the regular season. Lakeside-Evans, Decatur, McIntosh, Chamblee and Greenbrier round out the poll.

In Division 3, No. 1 West Forsyth closed out the regular season on a six-game winning streak and shut out Hebron Christian this past week, 19-0. The Lady Wolverines have a good chance to capture their first state championship in program history. No. 2 Cherokee defeated Sequoyah 17-2 and Etowah 22-1 this past week. No. 3 Lambert finished its regular season on a three-game winning streak. No. 4 Walton closed its regular season on a three-game losing streak but played the best teams in the state during this stretch. No. 5 North Gwinnett won its final two games to close the regular season. Campbell, Carrollton, Brookwood, Marietta, and Harrison round out the poll. No. 8 Brookwood and No. 9 Marietta will meet in the first round of the playoffs on Monday.
