The Georgia Bulldogs add seven in-state players to their stacked 2026 class in a busy month of June

The Georgia Bulldogs had an outstanding month of June for the 2026 recruiting class as they landed 16 players, including seven from the state of Georgia. According to On3, the Bulldogs currently have the No. 2 Class for 2026 as they trail USC. Here is a deep dive on the seven in-state players that Kirby Smart landed last month.

EDGE Khamari Brooks – North Oconee

Brooks chose the Dawgs over Alabama on June 23rd after taking an official visit to Georgia on May 30th. He received an offer on October 5th. Brooks played a large role in the Titans 15-0 season that resulted in them winning the Class 4A state title. He posted eight total tackles and two sacks in the state championship game against Marist. Brooks has a lot of speed which helps him cut off outside zone runs by opposing running backs.

RB Jae Lamar – Colquitt County

Lamar shows a ton of elusiveness and speed in the run game for Colquitt County as he cannot be chased down when he gets into the secondary. He totaled 885 rushing yards on 112 carries to go along with 11 touchdowns on the ground. After he took an official visit with the Bulldogs on May 30th, Lamar chose Georgia over Miami, Clemson, Florida State, and Auburn on June 25th.

WR Craig Dandridge – Cambridge

Dandridge had a solid junior season for Cambridge that saw him record 1,443 receiving yards on 57 receptions in addition to 14 touchdown receptions. The offers started rolling in for the speedy receiver after an unbelievable performance in the junior game of the Georgia Elite Classic back in December. Dandridge received an offer from UGA on January 30th and committed on June 26th following an official visit on May 30th.

IOL Zykie Helton – Carrollton

Helton uses his 6-3, 295 pound frame for physicality on the Trojans offensive line. He played a big part for the run game last year as Carrollton totaled 2,174 rushing yards on 368 carries and scored 29 rushing touchdowns. Helton can be effective on both the left and right side of the offensive line. He received an offer from Georgia back on May 31, 2023. Helton took an official visit to Athens on May 30th and chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Georgia Tech, and Florida State.

IOL Zachary Lewis – North Gwinnett

Lewis is a monster on the North Gwinnett offensive line as he is able to throw opposing defensive linemen onto the ground while he provides great protection for the running plays. His contributions on the offensive line helped the Bulldogs rush for 2,645 yards on 425 carries as they scored 31 rushing touchdowns. After an offer on May 31st and an official visit on June 6th, Lewis committed to Georgia on June 9th choosing the Dawgs over Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

EDGE Corey Howard – Valdosta

Howard goes after the quarterback a ton, and when he gets in the face of the quarterback he makes sure that he gets the sack or forces an incompletion every time. He also locks down the line of scrimmage on running plays by the opposing team. Howard totaled 36 overall tackles and 10 tackles for loss last season for Valdosta. He received an offer from Georgia on May 9th and took an official visit on June 13th. Howard committed on June 24th choosing Georgia over Florida.

P Wade Register – Trinity Christian (Dublin)

Register made seven out of ten field goal attempts last season for the Crusaders with his longest made field goal being at a distance of 48-yards. On 32 punts, 11 of them ended up inside the 20-yard as he averaged 47.9 yards per punt. Register’s longest punt went 69 yards down the field. He received an offer from Georgia on June 10th and committed a day later, choosing the Dawgs over Navy, Georgia Southern, Missouri, and Air Force. Register is the No. 1 ranked punter in the country.

This was a big month for the Georgia Bulldogs in recruiting for the Class of 2026, and Kirby Smart does not plan to slow down anytime soon with landing players in this class. It will be interesting to see how July goes for the Dawgs in recruiting more players for their 2026 class.
